The commune of Halsnæs has four public libraries

The head branch is situated in Frederiksværk and there is a local town library in Hundested.

The libraries have different opening hours.

In our libraries you have free access to books and other medias for both children and adults, such as audio books, games, music and movies. The libraries offer free Internet access and you can play PlayStation3 as well as Wii. All users are welcome use the facilities at no costs.

To become a user of the libraries service all you need to do is to be registered at the library. You can use your social security card or you can get a loaners card, which will be made when you register. We will need identification upon registration.

You can browse through the collection at our on-line catalogue and reserve the materials you need. You will receive a notification from the library when it is available. Notifications can be delivered by mail, email or sms depending your wish.

At www.bibliotek.dk you have access to search the on-line catalogues of all libraries nationwide. You can reserve the wished material and request to have it sent to any of the four libraries, where you can pick it up.
